About YCMOU
Yashwantrao Chavan Maharashtra Open University (YCMOU) was established in July 1989 by Act XX- (1989) of the Maharashtra State legislature. It is the fifth Open University in the Country. The jurisdiction of this university has now been extended even beyond the State of Maharashtra. The YCMOU has been recognized under section 12(B) of the University Grants Communication Ad. 1956. It is a member of the various prestigious associations like AIU, Association of Commonwealth Universities, Asian Association of Open Universities, Commonwealth of learning, Canada to name a few.

Suryadatta is a study center of YCMOU and offers following Programs of YCMOU.

  • H.S - Hospitality Studies - (Diploma, Advance Diploma & Proposed Graduation)

Students who have completed a diploma in Hotel Management from a recognised Institute can take admission for lateral entry into the second year or third year of the Bachelors Degree Programs of YCMOU. The YCMOU Programs can be either pursued in a full time or in distance learning mode. The Programs also help students to upgrade their academic performance.
