SCHMTT Students Explore the Art of Carpet Manufacturing – Educational Visit to Brinton Carpets

Experiential learning forms the foundation of a bright future, and Suryadatta College of Hospitality Management & Travel Tourism (SCHMTT) recently provided students with a unique hands-on opportunity.

As part of an industrial visit, SCHMTT students toured Brinton Carpets Asia Pvt. Ltd. in Pirangut, a world-class carpet manufacturing company. The visit offered insights into both the technical and artistic aspects of carpet production, highlighting the critical role of interior décor in the hospitality industry.
Students observed the entire carpet-making journey—from raw material selection to weaving, quality testing, and the final finished product. They interacted with industry experts, gaining valuable knowledge about global production standards, eco-friendly practices, and customized designs for luxury hotels, resorts, and convention centers.

Such visits enhance confidence and prepare students for future roles in housekeeping, interior management, and hospitality operations,” shared Prof. Dr. Sanjay B.
