In recent years we have seen a trend towards natural and preventive health practices all over the world. People are turning to sustainable methods which improve their immune systems, reduce stress, and foster health. Yoga, naturopathy, and dietetics present a whole-body approach which has been proved over thousands of years.
This diploma is for people who have a great interest in health and wellness and want to make a difference in people’s lives. If you are a recent high school graduate, a fitness enthusiast, or a working professional looking to switch careers, we offer a base in natural healing and nutritional sciences. Also, this is a great choice for those who wish to become yoga instructors, wellness coaches, or holistic therapists.
Yoga is more than what you see in physical activity. It is a total lifestyle. In our program we look at the eight limbs of yoga, the asanas which are the yoga postures, pranayama which are the breathing exercises, and we do meditation. Also, we look at the philosophy from the Patanjali Yoga Sutras which we present to students in a way that they can see how yoga improves mental clarity and emotional balance.
Naturopathy puts into practice natural remedies which include mud therapy, hydrotherapy, fasting, and massage for the purpose of detox and renewal of the body. Students see how these methods augment the body’s natural healing processes. We cover theory as well as practical aspects of alternative therapies which we present as a drug free approach to disease prevention and treatment.
Knowledge of the human body functions is what holistic health care is based on. In this section of the diploma, we introduce students to organ systems, muscles, nerves, and bodily functions. The material is presented in a simplified yet essential way which helps students to see the connection between science and natural healing.
In that which we put into our bodies is a large component of the healing process. In this course we introduce students to the fundamentals of diet planning, nutrient requirements, and the role food plays in disease prevention. Also, we look at the therapeutic use of food in naturopathy. The course also puts modern nutritional science into the context of traditional Indian diet principles.
Practical application is at the heart of this diploma. We have yoga classes, therapy demos, community outreach, and wellness workshops for students. Also, they gain from internships at clinics and wellness centers which allows them to use what they learn in real life settings.
Students are taught to include yoga, diet, and natural therapies in their practice, which we may note are also very much so in that they are of a non-invasive, safe and effective nature. Also, you will learn to identify issues related to lifestyle which in turn will present you with natural health solutions. The diploma which is what we are talking about here includes an in-depth look at the whole person’s mind, body, and spirit and not just at the symptoms.
Nutrition is of great importance in prevention and recovery. Our program which awards a diploma gives students the tools to study diet trends, put forth better options, and develop individual meal plans. For the patient that is diabetic, the overweight individual, or the person that just wants to improve their health, we will have at our disposal science and tradition-based food solutions.
Students also learn to use naturopathic principles in the interpretation of basic health indicators. We cover pulse analysis, body temperature, tongue coating, and other traditional diagnostic tools. These skills in turn help to identify health imbalances and to put forward very specific therapies.
Graduates will be trained in the conduct of yoga sessions and natural healing workshops. Also, we will get to do group class management, design personalized programs and ensure participant safety. We also cover material like lesson plan design, communication skills, and record keeping therapy which are very much the core skills for which one may go on to teach in or run their own centers.
In present times health and wellness centers all over India and abroad are reporting they need professionals which dabble in many healing practices. At these centers you may step into the role of a yoga therapist, wellness advisor, or naturopathic assistant which is that of creating custom health programs for our clients.
Specialized health clinics are always in need of trained staff. In our facility we may have you work with senior therapists, develop your own clients, in which also included will be programs such as detox, weight loss, or pain management which we implement using Naturopathic Yoga and Dietetics.
Luxury resorts and holistic health centers also offer health programs which are very much of the natural wellness theme. As a yoga instructor or naturopath specialist, I am here to assist travelers with their mental and physical rejuvenation.
Through which you set up the base you can go into the wellness studio or yoga center business. We see many of our graduates go out to do private sessions, diet counseling, and team up with local doctors and health professionals.
