Industrial Visit to Adhik Resort: Empowering Hospitality Students with Real-World Insights into Large-Scale Food Production

Suryadatta College of Hospitality Management and Travel Tourism (SCHMTT), continues its commitment to experiential learning by organizing a valuable industrial visit for second-year B.Sc. Hospitality Studies (Food Production specialization) students to the renowned Adhik Resort India Pvt. Ltd., Pune.

Established in 2005, Adhik Resort is a leading name in large-scale food production and exports its products globally, including to Singapore and Malaysia. Spanning over 3 acres, the facility includes five specialized production units, providing an ideal learning platform for students. During the visit, students observed the entire industrial food production process — from the daily output of over 50,000 bakery units and 60,000 rotis to large-scale operations in the central kitchen including idli steaming, rice cooking, tea preparation, and frozen samosa production. They also learned about grain storage, hygiene protocols, and cold chain logistics, gaining deep insights into quality control, automation, and food safety standards.

A key takeaway was a real-time understanding of backend operations in hospitality, logistics, and food safety — offering students an enriching experience beyond classroom theory. Direct interaction with industry experts helped enhance their awareness of industrial standards and professional practices.Through such impactful industry-academia collaborations, Suryadatta Education Foundation remains dedicated to shaping globally competent, confident, and skilled hospitality professionals ready to make their mark in the dynamic global hospitality sector.
